GRAGEPOLITAN-Aksi demo dalam mengkritisi pemerintah pusat digelar gabungan mahasiswa Cirebon, Kamis (7/4).
Berlangsung di halaman gedung DPRD Kota Cirebon, aksi saling dorong hingga lempar botol air mineral bekas dengan aparat, sempat mewarnai demo tersebut.
Awalnya massa mahasiswa berorasi di depan gedung DPRD sambil membakar sejumlah ban bekas.
Mereka datang sambil membentangkan sejumlah spanduk bernada protes dalam menuntut segera diakhirinya penderitaan rakyat.
Upaya mereka untuk masuk halaman kantor DPRD kemudian tertahan barisan petugas di pintu gerbang.
Saat itulah tak lama kemudian mereka terlibat aksi saling dorong. Petugas pun mengalah, massa mahasiswa lalu masuk di halaman gedung DPRD.
Dalam tuntutannya, para mahasiswa menyampaikan beberapa isu nasional. Diantaranya terkait Ibu Kota Negara (IKN), isu perpanjang jabatan presiden 3 periode dan pengunduran pemilihan presiden.
“Kami menolak pembangunan IKN dan perpsnjangan presiden 3 periode. Begitupun penundaan pilpres 2024 itu tidak boleh terjadi.njika dipaksakan, pemerintah menghianati bangsa,” ujar Muh Hanif ketua BEM UGJ disela aksi.
Demo mahasiswa di halaman gedung DPRD berlangsung alot hampir 2 jam. Upaya Kapolres Cirebon Kota, AKBP M Fahri Siregar mendampingi anggota DPRD belum berhasil menenangkan mereka.
Massa mahasiswa tetap bersikukuh untuk bertemu langsung ketua DPRD Hj Affiati yang saat itu tak nampak batang hidungnya.
Begitupun kedatangan Wakil Ketua DPRD, M Handarujati tak mampu meredam keinginan para mahasiswa.
Padahal diriny saat itu betulangkali meyakinkan jika pimpinan DPRD Kota Cirebon bersifat kolektif koligial. Namun mahasiswa keukeuh pada pendiriannya untuk bisa diterima Affiati.
Puncaknya hampir terjadi lagi keributan persis di depan teras utama kantor DPRD. Penyebanya saat itu mahasiswa hendak memaksa masuk gedung DPRD.
Namun kali ini petugas tsk terpancing dan berhasil menenangkan mahasiwa. Mereka pun kemudian membubarkan diri.(G-05)
